UNPOPULAR OPINION | Anakbayan Southern Mindanao Has Yet to Explain Its NPA Links
Anakbayan Southern Mindanao’s latest statement against former member Jam Saguino once again avoids addressing the details of her experience in Anakbayan and the New People’s Army. Instead of directly refuting her claims, the group dismissed her as a red-tagger and attacked her credibility.
On August 24, Anakbayan Southern Mindanao condemned Saguino after she spoke about her experience during an National Service Training Program orientation at the University of Southeastern

Two Campus Alerts, One Siege Narrative
That history explains vigilance. The alert does not, however, establish what the two officers were doing at the canteen. It presented no evidence that they were conducting surveillance, intimidating students or carrying out an operation. These were suspicions attached to their presence, not facts established by the post.

The Real Battle Is Hope
Pasion was arrested on July 30 in Cabuyao, Laguna, together with alleged NPA leader Binay Serrano, during a joint operation by government forces.

From Armed Struggle to Hard Truths: Why the Next Generation Must Learn from the Past
For years, I believed that genuine change in the Philippines could only come through armed revolution. Like many idealistic young people, I was drawn to the promise of a nation free from injustice, inequality, and corruption. I sincerely believed that taking up arms was not merely an option; it was the only path.
I was wrong.

The ND Could Never: What the INC Rally Revealed About Political Mobilization
The recent Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) mobilization along EDSA deserves attention, not as an endorsement of its objectives or its politics, but for demonstrating a level of organizational capacity that few groups in the Philippines can still match. Regardless of where one stands on the rally’s purpose, the facts are difficult to ignore. The demonstration forced road closures along EDSA, disrupted rush-hour traffic across Metro Manila, prompted the deployment of hundreds of police

Violence Begins Long Before a Trigger is Pulled
The recent school shooting in Tacloban City has shocked the nation and reopened urgent discussions about the state of Filipino youth. In the aftermath, various political actors have offered explanations for the tragedy. Among them, Kabataan Partylist Representative Renee Co argued that a “culture of impunity” associated with former President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration may have contributed to the normalization of violence among young people.

“The NYC strongly

KAPAG LAHAT AY KAAWAY | The ND Movement's Crisis of Paranoia
Gaddi alleges that certain individuals wanted Kayumanggi to align itself with the National Democratic Front of the Philippines. When she refused, she says, she was eventually accused of red-tagging them.
